Five facts, two of them diameters
Send the size, the substrate and the site conditions
GLC 25.0/12.5 recovers to 12.5 mm on a 0.78 mm wall. Give the diameters and the chart gives the code.
The five that decide the part code
Four are numbers. The fifth is a permit question, and it moves the family rather than the size.
- Smallest diameter the tube must grip. Recovered ID has to sit below it. Thin wall recovers from GSC 1.0/0.5 to GSC 100/50.0, all of it at 2:1.
- Largest diameter it must pass over. Supplied ID has to clear the lug, the ferrule or the armour step in the same pass. GMW 5x 90/18 goes over 90 mm and closes on 18 mm at 5:1.
- Length in millimetres. GMW and GHW are cut to 1200 mm maximum. Thin wall runs on 25 to 400 m spools or 1.2 m lengths per box. Every GCTE cold shrink size is a fixed 500 mm.
- Voltage as a figure. GMW is published to 3.3 kV, GHW to 36 kV, GCTE cold shrink to 1.1 kV, copper or aluminium. LV leaves all three open.
- Whether the site will issue a hot work permit. Shrink temperature for GMW and GHW is 125 °C to IEC 216, so a flame or a gun sits at the joint for the length of the recovery. Refuse it and the answer is cold shrink, ceiling 1.1 kV.

Add these where they apply
- The substrate the tube actually touches
- Bare copper, XLPE, PVC, PILC, a rubber-sheathed jacket, the shank of a U-bolt on a pipe support. It decides whether adhesive is needed, and adhesive fixes the bores you can choose from: GDW runs 3/1 to 50/17.
- Quantity in the unit the part ships in
- Thin wall is metres off a spool, or 1.2 m lengths counted per box — 40 to a box at GSC 25.0/12.5, five at GSC 100/50.0. Medium and heavy wall are pieces at a stated cut length. Cold shrink is pieces, all 500 mm.
- Colour, only where it carries a meaning
- Published thin-wall colours are black, white, yellow, red, blue, green and yellow/green, and the yellow-green stripe is the GSC/YG earth-lead code rather than a preference. The GMW and GHW compound carries carbon black against UV. EPDM cold shrink is black, the silicone grade grey.
- Destination country and port
- First line of an export enquiry, because it decides which channel answers. Mumbai is the head office; the only other one published sits at Monterrey in Mexico.
Where the enquiry goes
Recovered ID indexes published selection charts. It extrudes nothing, holds nothing and quotes nothing. The tube behind every code above is made by Gala Thermo Shrink Pvt. Ltd. at Palghar and inside the Surat SEZ, and a reader hunting a supplier near a site is hunting that company.

Name the series you have already narrowed to, and quote the chart row rather than the product name. The charts for medium and heavy wall tube and cold shrink tubing are the ones the figures above are read from.
Not published — ask rather than assume
Working hours against those three numbers. No datasheet or published page behind this site states them, so name your own reply-by date in the message. Price, lead time, minimum order quantity, stock position and distributor territory. None of the five exists anywhere in the published record either.
A code back, or a questionnaire back
Two diameters, a length, a kV and a permit answer come back as a part number with a chart row behind it. A product name comes back as questions. Size and grade get settled on the numbers; whether a flame is acceptable on your asset is the permit's call and not this page's.
