Who runs this reference, and who makes the tube

The GLC chart here runs from 3.0 mm recovered to 50.0 mm at 2:1. Not one of those figures was measured here.

One axis, and the disclosure that goes with it

This reference is indexed by the diameter a tube ends up at. Not by product family, not by catalogue order, not by voltage class. You arrive with a measurement taken over the thing being covered, and every page works from that number towards a part code, a recovered wall and a ratio. The axis also decides which pages exist: where the honest answer is a moulded part, the exit page says so instead of selling you a size.

Recovered ID extrudes nothing, holds no stock, and prints no price, delivery date or quantity break, because no document available to it carries one. That is the easy half of the disclosure. The half that matters: this domain is published by the company whose part codes fill it.

The tube is manufactured by Gala Thermo Shrink Pvt. Ltd., trading as Gala Shrink Fit and a member of the Gala Group. J.P. Gala opened the business in February 1979 to process PVC. 1993 brought two things at once — Bhavesh Gala, now the Managing Director, and a first export order, to Malaysia. The manufacturer's own company profile is the primary record, and where it and a page here disagree, the profile wins.

Palghar in Maharashtra extrudes the tube. The second unit, inside the Surat SEZ in Gujarat since 2011, makes moulded shapes, so everything this site indexes comes off Palghar. Both units run three in-house laboratories: partial discharge, high voltage, and general product testing. Compounding through dispatch is in-house, so a recovered-wall figure and the compound it was measured on come out of one building.

The dates that belong to the tube, not to the company

2007
Commercial heat-shrink tube production starts, alongside ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification. Everything indexed here postdates that year. Moulded shapes go back to 2001 and PVC mouldings to 1988, so a vendor file that dates the tube from the 1979 founding is dating a different product.
2009
UL lists the heat-shrink tubes under File E328538. That number, not the company name, is what a clause asking for UL-listed tube wants. Two issues of the thin wall datasheet print E328193 instead: the thin wall page sets the three sheets against each other, and what each datasheet standard tests takes the rest apart.
2011
The second unit opens at the Surat SEZ. UL lists Busboot and Bustube the same year under File E335936 — busbar hardware, a separate file, never quoted here as though it covered tube.
August 2012
CPRI certifies the 33 kV heat-shrink joints and terminations. Read the scope: assembled kits, not tube bought by the metre off a spool.
2015, then 2016
MSEDCL approves the range to 11 kV, then from 11 kV to 33 kV. Indian utility approvals, in the bands each names.

Accreditations, and the scope each actually has

A certificate awarded against a joint kit is not evidence about a length of tube. Each entry names what its document covers.

  • ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018: three certified management systems, audited against process and paperwork. No clause in any of them fixes a shrink ratio or a wall thickness.
  • UL File E328538, heat-shrink tubes to UL 224. The only file on this list covering a product this site indexes.
  • UL File E335936, Busboot and Bustube. Named so it cannot be read as a tube listing where both numbers share a brochure page.
  • CPRI, August 2012, 33 kV joints and terminations. ERDA, a test report issued against the busbar sleeve. MSEDCL, PGCIL, SEB and EDL, Indian utility approvals. The manufacturer's certification page reproduces the documents themselves.
  • Export House Certificate and AEO T1. Customs and trade standing, for a shipping file. No place in a technical clause.

How a number gets onto a page here

Every dimension, ratio, temperature, part code and test method here is copied from a datasheet or product page the manufacturer publishes. Nothing is estimated, and nothing crosses over from a neighbouring grade because the two sit on one sheet. GMW and GHW share a sheet, a 3:1 ratio and a -40 °C to +110 °C range; GMW is published to 3.3 kV and GHW to 36 kV, and the second number does not travel to the first. IP68 belongs only to the constructions whose own sheets claim it.

Where a datasheet leaves a figure out, the row still appears and prints the gap. The cold shrink chart is the working example: GCEB dimensions are given and the operating temperature is left deliberately empty, with the reason beside it. A gap that announces itself is closed with one email. A gap you have to spot for yourself is not.

Three subjects are not product-specific, so this publisher writes them once for all its reference domains instead of once per site: shrink ratio, tube materials and heat shrink against cold shrink. Wherever one of them is named here, it is named as this publisher's own page — neither a second opinion nor corroboration.

One contradiction this site carries, unresolved

The GCEB cold-shrink breakout appears on two of the manufacturer's pages with identical selection charts and identical property tables, and the operating range reads -40 °C to 105 °C on one, -40 °C to 90 °C on the other. Neither figure is quoted anywhere here. Taking the friendlier number would be the easy move and the wrong one. If you need that limit in writing, ask the manufacturer which page is current and quote the reply.

Correct a figure, or send a diameter

Corrections come first. If something here is wrong, name the URL, the part code and the line, and send the document that beats it — a later datasheet revision, a test report, an approval letter. Pages change on documents, not on assertions. Sizing questions run the other way: the contact page lists the five facts that make an enquiry answerable first time.
